Winter Seclusion-Bon Iver "Flume"

"Sky is womb and she's the moon"

Sometimes during the winter (the last three days it's been a good reminder that it's still winter) I just want to stay home with Ginger and the kids and see the world moving in slow motion in the cold air through the blinds, drinking coffee, wine and tequila, playing uno with Umberto, watching movies and reading curled up on the couch with Ginger and listening to Bon Iver...

Don't you love the mythologizing stories that artists tend to tell about and around their creations? One that comes to my mind often is Borges' story about how writing fiction for him was a direct result of an accident. Bon Iver says he spent three months alone inside a cabin in the middle of the winter of 2006/7 in wisconsin where he penned the beautiful songs of "For Emma, forever ago".
